Currently, polyurethane insulation boards can be divided into two types based on their production methods: continuous polyurethane insulation boards and ordinary hand-made insulation boards. As the name suggests, hand-made boards are made by manual methods. 


This involves first bending color-coated steel plates through a machine, then manually installing surrounding keels, applying glue, filling core materials, and pressing them together. Continuous boards, on the other hand, are made by continuously pressing color steel sandwich panels. On a specialized production line, color-coated steel plates are bonded with core materials and cut to size in one go, producing the final product.


Insulation Board Production Process

The continuous sandwich panel line can complete tasks such as panel conveying, flipping, moving, and packaging, improving the efficiency of the production line. Pentane-based polyurethane foaming systems are generally used, which foam evenly and have a high closed-cell rate that remains stable at over 90%. The quality is controllable, the density of each measurement point on the board is consistent, and it has strong fire resistance and thermal insulation properties.

Compared to hand-made boards, the production of continuous boards is more flexible. Hand-made boards are limited by the production method and cannot produce large sizes, while continuous boards can be customized to any size according to customer requirements, with no size limitations.

The production line for polyurethane continuous sandwich panels is fully automated. The panels are formed in one piece, without the need for human intervention during the process. It can operate continuously for 24 hours, with strong production capacity, short production cycles, and fast delivery speeds.

Continuous polyurethane boards use a tongue-and-groove structure for connection, with rivets used to reinforce the connection at both ends. The assembly operation is convenient, the construction time for cold storage is short, the panels are tightly connected, the seam airtightness is strong, and the probability of deformation is low.
